Students in both the junior and the senior years take a two-hour drama class for one quarter. Juniors are introduced to the fundamentals of acting and performance, including movement, voice and interpretation of text and character. They perform a dramatic work at the end of the course. The senior drama course reviews these techniques and implements them in a full-scale production. Students are involved in all areas of the production: text and character interpretation, blocking, sets, music, costumes and props.
Check out photos from our recent drama productions. This year, our juniors performed the Shakespearean classic, Macbeth. Other plays that our students have done in the past include: The Taming of the Shrew, The Merchant of Venice, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Crucible and more.
