Application Process

We welcome your interest in Trinity School at Meadow View. Our goal is to make the application process simple and productive. We hope you can get to know us by participating in the events we've scheduled for prospective parents and students. Below are the standard steps to complete the application process. Please feel free to contact Kay Yohe in the Admissions Office at 703-629-9980, or kyohe@trinityschools.org with your questions.

Apply for Admissions

The admissions procedure includes an entrance exam, candidate interview, the submission of several forms, and an application fee of $50.00. Contact Kay Yohe, our Director of Admissions, to schedule the exam and interview. All required materials must be on file and the interview and exam completed before a student's candidacy will be considered. To ensure the best chance of being admitted, you should complete your application by December 4. You will be notified as soon as a decision has been made.

Entrance Exam
Testing is required for all prospective rising 7th-9th grade students. This exam takes about one hour. Prospective seventh- and eighth-graders take the Short Form Aptitude Test. Rising ninth-graders take an Algebraic Diagnostic Test. Rising tenth- through twelfth-graders do not need to take an entrance exam. This test can be scheduled with our Director of Admissions, Kay Yohe.

Candidate Interview
All prospective students are interviewed by the headmaster or one of the teachers. The interview takes 15 to 20 minutes.

Application Forms

Homeschooling parents should fill out the letters of reference. If their child has attended a traditional school recently, they may request school records from that school to be forwarded to Meadow View. If the child has always been homeschooled, copies of standardized tests from the last two years should be included with the application.

Please feel free to contact the Director of Admissions, Kay Yohe, at kyohe@trinityschools.org, or by telephone at 703-629-9980.

Visit Us

For parents, we offer an informal evening to visit with Andrew Zwerneman, the Headmaster, Kay Yohe, the Director of Admissions, and Gina Massa, the Director of Community Relations. This is an opportunity to learn about the school's courses, educational philosophy and Christian culture, with plenty of time to address parents' questions.

Dates for Information Nights:
February 9, at 7:30 p.m.
March 9, at 7:30 p.m.

Campus Visits
To help parents discern whether Trinity School is a good match for their child, we allow prospective students to spend a day on campus, attending classes and meeting our students. Mr. Zwerneman is also glad to meet with interested families and give them a tour of campus. The Director of Admissions would be happy to schedule either type of visit for you.

Public Events

We welcome prospective families to join us at one of our drama productions, semester recitals, sports games or other school-sponsored events. Please let us know if you would like to attend any of these events to experience more of our school culture. We would be glad to greet you at the door, introduce you to some Trinity School families and students, and answer any questions you may have.
