2018 Summer Camps

Trinity Classic Summer Camp:
Discovering Ancient Egypt!
Session I — June 25-29
Session II — July 16-20
10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Travel back in time and discover ancient Egypt! Each day will be a new adventure in learning about this civilization. Participants will create mummies, learn about hieroglyphics and scribes, build pyramids, create pottery, act in a play about Moses and much more. Hands-on activity will be combined with generous portions of outdoor fun. This camp is aimed at students in 4th, 5th and 6th grade.

Drama Camp:
Acting Around the World
July 9-12
10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Expand your knowledge of theater! We invite boys and girls in 4th, 5th and 6th grade to experience three forms of dramatic art: ancient Greek, ancient Chinese and Shakespeare. Each day will bring new costumes, make-up and scripts. Interactive rehearsals will be mixed with outdoor fun and games. The week will culminate in a production for parents showcasing each of the dramatic art forms.

Boys Basketball Camp
June 25-29
5 to 8 p.m.
St. John Academy
6422 Linway Terrace, McLean

Boys in 4th through 9th grade are invited to be part of this dynamic, skill-building camp. Goals of the camp are to help players improve their basketball fundamentals while at the same time learning the value of teamwork, sportsmanship and competition. Rick Schoof and Jeff Gaskins, TSMV varsity boys' coaches will direct the camp. Coach Schoof is a former AAU coach who led eight teams to national tournaments. Prior to coaching at Trinity, Coach Gaskins, worked as head J.V. coach at T.C. Williams high school leading his team to the District Championship.

Young Tempest Lacrosse
July 30 to August 3

Designed to introduce boys in 4th through 7th grade to the exciting and fast-paced game of lacrosse. Come learn the fundamental skills of passing, catching, cradling, dodging, ground ball scooping as well as offensive and defensive concepts.

Rising Tempest Lacrosse Camp
June 18-22
9 a.m. to noon
St. Philips Athletic Field
7500 St. Philips Court, Falls Church

Designed to improve skills in boys who are in 7th through 10th grade. This camp will stress fundamental skills, provide position-specific instruction and develop team offensive and defensive concepts. Offensive players will be instructed in areas of dodging, shooting, off-ball movement and ball handling. Defensive players will learn basic checks, s​l​ides, footwork and communication. Goalies will learn save technique​s​, clears and communication. The camp will include in​dividual contests and team games.
